Mojo Guitar Repair is built around a simple idea: make professional guitar repair convenient, personal, and dependable.

I’m John Burke, owner and guitar technician at Mojo Guitar Repair. I provide setup, maintenance, repair, and electronic services for electric guitars, acoustic guitars, and basses throughout the Pittsburgh area.

Mojo is different from a traditional repair shop. Instead of requiring you to bring your instrument to me, I offer convenient pickup and delivery service. Your guitar is personally handled by me from the time I pick it up until the time it is returned, ready to play.

Whether your guitar needs a routine setup, fret work, electronic repair, hardware replacement, or some careful troubleshooting to figure out why it just doesn’t feel or sound right, my goal is the same: thoughtful, detail-oriented work that brings out the best in your instrument.

Mojo has been serving Pittsburgh-area musicians since 2020, caring for instruments played everywhere from bedrooms and rehearsal spaces to studios, churches, and stages.

Mojo Guitar Repair offers convenient pickup and return delivery throughout the Pittsburgh area. Service is priced according to distance from our Glenshaw location:

  • 0–5 miles: $20
  • 5–10 miles: $30
  • 10–15 miles: $40
  • 15–20 miles: $55
  • Beyond 20 miles: Contact us for availability and pricing.

    • Pickup and return delivery are included in the listed service charge.

MEET YOUR TECH!

I've been repairing guitars and other stringed instruments since 1994. Before starting Mojo, I spent 14 years as a guitar technician for a major Pittsburgh-area music retailer, working on instruments for musicians, schools, churches and performers throughout the region. That experience taught me that good guitar work isn't just about measurements and specifications. It's about understanding the instrument, how the player uses it, and what isn't quite working for them.

At Mojo, the person you talk to is the person who picks up, services, play-tests and returns your instrument.
